What does review management software cost?

Typically $50–300 a month to rent. What it does — texting customers a link after a job — is worth far less than that, and one feature most of them sell can cost you every review you have.

Before you buy any of them, check this one thing

Many review tools sell a feature that asks the customer to rate you privately first, and only shows the public review link to the ones who rated you well. It is called review gating, Google’s policy prohibits it, and the stated penalty is the removal of every review on the profile — not just the ones collected that way. Ask any vendor directly whether unhappy customers are shown the public link. If the answer is no, that is the feature, whatever they call it.

The three ways to get one

Rent a reputation platform

$50–300 a month, typical

Sends the request, chases it, and puts the results on a dashboard. Most of the price is the dashboard. The reviews belong to Google either way — what you are renting is the asking.

Do it by hand

free

Text every customer your Google review link the day after the job. This genuinely works and costs nothing. It fails for one reason only: somebody has to remember, every time, forever.

Own the asking what we do

from $750

A page of your own that a customer taps a star on. Print it on a card, text it after a job. No monthly fee, and every rating sees the same public links — one star to five.

Every figure above that is not ours is a typical range, not a quote from a named company. We publish our own prices, so we will not put an unchecked number next to somebody else’s name.

What you are actually paying for

At $150 a month that is $9,000 over five years to send a text message and draw a chart. The reviews themselves live on Google and are free. Worth asking what the software does that a link and a reminder do not.

What moves the price

When you should not buy this at all

Under about twenty jobs a month, send the link yourself. It is free, it works, and the personal message gets a better response than anything automated. Buy something when remembering has become the bottleneck — not before.

What we charge

Our Review Page is $750, once. It is already built and running — you are buying a copy adjusted to your services, your hours and your branding, and the code is yours afterwards. There is no monthly bill, and nothing to renew.

One round of changes after handover is included. Anything beyond that we quote in writing before we start.

It is running on a live address right now. Book yourself an imaginary appointment and cancel it again — that is the whole product.
