What does a custom booking system cost?

Somewhere between $750 and $15,000, and which end you land on depends almost entirely on whether somebody is writing it from scratch for you.

The three ways to get one

Rent one

$20–60 a month, typical

A hosted booking tool. Cheapest to start, and you are still paying in year five. Your appointment history and your customer list live in their database, which is the part that makes leaving hard.

Have one built from scratch

$4,000–15,000, typical

An agency or a freelancer writes it for your business. You own the result. It takes weeks to months, and most of the cost is the time spent building something that has been built ten thousand times.

Buy a copy of one that exists what we do

from $750

Someone has already built it and sells you a copy adjusted to your business. You own the code. This is what we do, and it is cheap for one reason only — the building already happened.

Every figure above that is not ours is a typical range, not a quote from a named company. We publish our own prices, so we will not put an unchecked number next to somebody else’s name.

The five-year number

A booking tool at $40 a month is $2,400 over five years, and at the end of it you own nothing and your data is still theirs. That is the comparison worth doing before anything else, because it is the one nobody selling a subscription will do for you.

What moves the price

When you should not pay for a custom one

If you take fewer than about ten bookings a month, rent one. The monthly fee will not be the thing holding your business back, and the money is better spent on getting more bookings in the first place. Come back when the subscription starts to annoy you, or when the tool refuses to do something you actually need.

What we charge

Our Booking Page is $750, once. It is already built and running — you are buying a copy adjusted to your services, your hours and your branding, and the code is yours afterwards. There is no monthly bill, and nothing to renew.

One round of changes after handover is included. Anything beyond that we quote in writing before we start.

Want to see it before you decide?

It is running on a live address right now. Book yourself an imaginary appointment and cancel it again — that is the whole product.
